I'm considering hiring you, can you please tell me what is the time frame for successful project once you have all the info you need?
It usually takes two weeks for me to present you initial logo concepts. I need few days for initial research, then I start brainstorming ideas based on your (hopefully detailed :) ) brief, some sketching and off to Illustrator for execution. After I mail you proposed solutions, third week is reserved for fine tuning and polishing chosen direction. If you decide to hire me for complete corporate identity, additional two-three weeks are usually enough for completing of that part of the project, but it depends on the scope of the work.
What are the costs involved?
Although every logo project is different, I do have a set price range which you can see in the opening of my Project Questionnaire located here. After I receive your brief, I will send you an accurate quote together with a production deposit invoice as stated in that document. Second invoice will be sent once you approve final artwork. Your secure order will be processed by 2Checkout.com Inc. You will have the option to pay in the currency of your choice during checkout using Paypal or credit card.
I would like to use my logo on various medium/materials, what are final delivery files?
Final logo files will be delivered as full color, flat PMS color and b/w versions in vector ai and eps files, together with a copy in both low (png) and hi res (jpg) file formats. Stationery files will be delivered in press-ready PDF file format.
Can you also please provide me with the source files from the software you are using? Are you using Photoshop or vector-based software such as Illustrator?
Final stationary files will be supplied with all text converted to outlines. I am offering complete solution (yes, prepress is included in price!). If you still want to do it yourself, additional 25-100% of project fee (depending on project volume) is added covering the release of editable source files. You will have to possess Adobe Illustrator CS3 and purchase font licenses by yourself in order to edit your documents. Obviously, I cannot give you any guarantee if something goes wrong with a printer in that case, since further prepress process is out of my control - it is all then in your hands!
What if I do not like any of initial concepts presented and wish to terminate the project?
If for any reason you wish to terminate your project with me, you will be refunded 25% of the production deposit, as long as we have not progressed beyond the initial concepts stage. The remainder of the deposit will go towards covering my expenses and the hours that I spent on your project.
Do I get some proof of ownership for the logo/corporate identity you produce for me?
My complete offer and prices are based on giving you signed logo release.
You will have all copyrights over approved final concept. I reserve the right to showcase work done for you in my portfolio. Concepts that are not chosen remain under my copyright. There is also the possibility for NDA work, but separate portfolio release fees apply - add 50% to total price. I enjoy collaborating with creative agencies worldwide and am used to that kind of deal.
Do you do website designs as well as logos?
As you've already noticed, I focus mainly on logo and printed corporate identity creation. I am, however, capable of providing you with a more complete solution for your business, including all graphic design-related work and the creation of web page layouts. Additionally, by teaming up with network associates, I can also offer you web developent beyond template design. Please contact me for further references and availability.
